Flying Wires
- (2 hours)
Category: Tail Feathers
Flying wires are on and tail is set. Both H-Stabs are within 0.1f the datum point on the fuselage. I'll call that good

Finished covering Tail Feathers
- (50 hours)
Category: Tail Feathers
Tail Feathers are completely covered and stored. It was a long arduous process, but with the Oratex it is nice when you get the covering on it is finished, no pointed and such.

Trim Tabs
- (4 hours)
Category: Tail Feathers
I used a hacksaw to remove the trim tabs from the elevators and then they required a lot of filing and sanding to get rid of welding residue. The elevator was the same, needed lots of sanding and filing. Once both were sanded to shape I primed the bare metal with two coats for corrosion protection.

Rudder installation
- (3 hours)
Category: Tail Feathers
The rudder to a bit of sanding and as you can see some primer to protect the sanded areas. I had to sand in order to get the top attach point to slide up to mate the the vertical stabilizer

Setting the Angle of the Horizontal
- (7 hours)
Category: Tail Feathers
OK, this took me days, I would work on it and get frustrated then comeback to it after working on other things. In the end it was a combination of a water level, two digital levels and a LOT of trigonometry. NOTE: Trig works

Leveling the fuselage
- (2 hours)
Category: Tail Feathers
This was initially a massive task. Do not do what I did and try to level the fuselage with digital levels. After some frustration I called Mark and he educated me on a water level. WOW what a difference. Fuselage all leveled so I can start working on the horizontal stabilizer
